Library Summer Reading Club Begins June 22 with Alastair Moock Concert!
Imagine Your Story 2020 Virtual Summer Reading Club begins on Monday, June 22nd.
To encourage reading in our community all summer long, the Friends of the Melrose Public Library have sponsored the purchase of new reading tracking software: "Beanstack". This purchase has enabled the library to create a fully online summer reading club. Children, teens and even adults can log their reading and participate in fun summer activities to earn virtual badges and rewards. Summer reading club runs from June 22nd-August 14th. In addition to online reading tracking and activities, the Melrose Public Library Children’s Room will be hosting a series of summer musical events, also online and also sponsored by the Friends. These include a kick-off concert on June 22nd featuring renowned local musician, Alastair Moock. Library staff will also be offering programming virtually through the summer.
