Help Us Create the Future of Melrose - Call for Public Art Extended!

Given the extraordinary events taking place this month, the City of Melrose is expanding our Call-for-Artists to include the larger community and extending the deadline to Sunday, June 28 at midnight. The Call-for-Artists is now open to Massachusetts artists with a preference for those in the Boston Metro area.  In order to maintain an authentic connection to Melrose, we are asking artists to consider how they might involve the community in the design or fabrication of their work.  We are happy to pair selected artists up with specific organizations and volunteers as-needed. Work can be temporary or permanent in a variety of materials suitable for outdoor work. Event-based work will be considered so long as a plan for safe social distancing is in place.  Likewise, if you are an individual, organization or business in Melrose and you would like to be involved, please email us at: melrosepublicart@gmail.com. We look forward to hearing from you!
