Come to the CABARET!

The Polymnia Choral Society’s Fourth Cabaret evening will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2018. There will be two Cabaret performances, at 5:00 and 8:00 p.m., at the Temple Beth Shalom at 21 E. Foster St., Melrose.

The Cabaret has proved in recent years to be a very successful, fun-filled show. Previously held as a season opener, this year the Cabaret is a mid-season event for the Polymnia Choral Society. The Cabaret is a fundraiser that underwrites various expenses for the community chorus, now in its 64th season, and provides Polymnia a way to say “thank you” to its generous supporters. In a venue less formal and more intimate than a concert hall, the Cabaret offers Polymnians and their supporters an opportunity to share music and merrymaking for an evening of talent and fun.

Several Polymnia members from Melrose and surrounding communities will be in the spotlight for the production, including Pri Pramanik and Tug Yourgrau from Melrose, Steve Francis, Eileen Worthley, and Birlyn Flint from Wakefield, Kristyn Brophy from Stoneham, Brother Richard Cook from Malden, Joanne Colella Boag and Katrina Faulstich from Woburn, and

Kerry Donovan from Ipswich, and Polymnia’s Music Director Murray Kidd. The performers will be accompanied by pianist Dorothy Travis.

The evening will include raffles, a silent auction, snacks, and a cash bar.

Cabaret tickets are $25 ($15 for students) and are available online at www.polymnia.org or at Miter Biter Frame Company, 479 Main Street, Melrose.

Polymnia Choral Society is a not-for-profit organization supported in part by grants from the Melrose Messina Fund for the Arts; the Melrose Cooperative Bank; the Melrose Rotary Club; and the Wakefield and Melrose Cultural Councils, which are funded by the Massachusetts Cultural Council; and several private benefactors and sponsors.
