City of Melrose to Hold Panel Discussion on Library Renovation Project

Library Renovation

MELROSE, MA—The City of Melrose will hold a panel discussion and public forum at 7 PM on Wednesday, August 18 in the Learning Commons at Melrose High School to educate residents and answer questions about the Melrose Public Library Renovation Project. The meeting will also be accessible remotely via MMTV.

“There is more information available about this project than any one person could reasonably know, especially around municipal finance, and it will be great to have all the experts under one roof to answer these questions,” said Library Director Linda Gardener.

Gardener will serve as a panelist along with Mayor Paul Brodeur, Director of Strategic Initiatives and Communications Margot Fleischman, Planning Director Denise Gaffey, and a project architect.

“Many people are asking how we can afford this, why this is the right time, and what the next steps are,” said Mayor Brodeur. “This meeting is a great opportunity to answer these questions and share the exciting plans for the library.”

The event will include a brief presentation from the City and a live Q&A session, with the opportunity for remote participation.

Residents can submit questions about the project through this form.
