City & Eliot Human Services Partner to Bring Melrosians Free Webinar About New Community Behavioral Health Centers

The recently opened Tri-City Area Community Behavioral Health Center has a wide range of services, including urgent and emergency care services available to all Melrose residents regardless of whether they have health insurance.

The City of Melrose is partnering with Eliot Community Human Services to provide the Melrose community with a free virtual information session about the organization’s newest model of Community Behavioral Health Centers, including the Tri-City Area Community Behavioral Health Center that serves Melrose residents, on Thursday, March 22, from 5 – 5:30 p.m. via Zoom.

Aaron Katz, VP of Behavioral Health Services at Eliot Community Human Services, will lead the webinar and provide everything you need to know about Eliot’s new Community Behavioral Health Center (CBHC). This new behavioral health care model expands local access to routine, urgent, and crisis treatment for mental health conditions and substance use disorders. CBHCs play a key role in making services more available, accessible, and equitable and providing access to treatment in one’s community.

During the presentation, you will learn about:

  • services provided by CBHCs
  • location and community information
  • referral information and how to access services
  • community outreach to increase awareness of CBHC’s

There will be a Q&A session following the presentation. Spanish interpretation will be made available to anyone who needs it.
