As part of the City’s efforts to enhance the services it provides to the public, the City’s accounting system will undergo an upgrade on June 8 and Thursday, June 9.

During the brief upgrade period, the Office of the Treasurer and Collector will not be able to access residents' account histories to research an issue or be able to confirm whether a residents' payment has been received and processed.

"The upgrade will improve technical response times, streamline many of our processes, and allow our team to access additional reports,” said Kathryn Armata, Treasurer Collector for the City of Melrose. “Overall, the upgrade increases the team's response time and improves our ability to provide excellent customer service to our residents.”

During the Upgrade Period, Collectors Will be Able to:

  • Collect payments at the Collectors window
    • Please note, residents must provide the payment stub with the payment
  • Collect payments from the Grey Box in the alley between the Post Office and City Hall
  • Collect parking ticket fees
  • Access a resident's most recent bill or ticket on-line
  • Issue parking stickers
