General Voting Information
The September 6th State Primary will take place in the Melrose Veterans Memorial Middle School gymnasium complex (enter on Melrose Street). In a State or Presidential Primary, you must vote the party you are registered in such as; Democrat, Republican, or Green Rainbow Party. If you are an “Unenrolled” voter, then you will declare one of these major parties at the Primary. After voting in a State Primary, it is no longer necessary for you to fill out a “Change of Party Card” after voting.
If you are on an “Inactive Voter List”(occurs when your city census is not returned) when you go to your polling site, you will be asked to show an I.D. and to fill out an “Affirmation of Current and Continuous” form, prior to voting.
