How do I dispute a ticket?

Parking disputes can be done either by e-mail to parkingclerk@cityofmelrose.org or by mail only.

Ticket disputes must be submitted in writing within 21 days of the violation. Please fill out the Parking Dispute Form and mail/e-mail it to the Collector’s Office, City Hall, 562 Main Street, Melrose MA 02176.

Tickets older than 21 days may not be disputed as noted on the ticket per M.G.L.

The Parking Clerk will review your dispute in a timely manner and respond in writing with his decision. Please note that not being aware of a parking ordinance is not a valid reason for abatement of a ticket.
