Come to Parent University on November 18!

Parent University is coming back to Melrose on November 18th! Join the Melrose Education Foundation and the Melrose Public Schools for a free morning of workshops open to the entire community. We will feature discussions for parents, grandparents and caregivers of children of all ages.

Parent University will take place on Saturday, November 18 from 8:30 am-12:30 pm at the Melrose High School Learning Commons (360 Lynn Fells Parkway). Registration is required; register early for best selection. Learn more and register for this FREE event at: melroseedfoundation.org.

The program is specifically designed to be of interest to parents and caregivers of all children – from preschool through high school. Parent University sessions will be offered on a wide range of topics, such as: positive discipline; MVMMS’ Project IMPACT (Individuals Making Positive Actions Counst Today); resilience and mindfulness; collaborative problem solving; college financing; Real Talk with Superintendent Taymore; restorative justice; talking with teens.

Our Keynote Speaker is Dr. Christopher Willard. Dr. Willard will lead a discussion on mindfulness, stress and resiliency. He has authored multiple books including: Growing up Mindful; Child’s Mind; Mindfulness for Teen Anxiety, and most recently, Raising Resilience.
