Tree Planting Guidelines

In matching trees with sites, one must consider the mature height, spread and growth habits of a particular species and how these will interact with site characteristics such as overhead power lines, existing vegetation, infrastructure items such as curbs and sidewalks and underground utilities such as sewer and water lines. For example, trees that grow greater than 30 feet should not be planted under power lines.
