Memorial Day, 2012 - Veteran Events

MISSION STATEMENT VETERANS SERVICES DEPARTMENT
We will recon every avenue of approach until we connect Melrose veterans with the services they need.

Note About Services
We strive to follow up on all veteran inquiries within 24-hours. Given the nature of our services, including outreach and one-on-one counseling, we are not always available on an immediate basis. However, your requests are important to us. If you leave a message or send an email, we will get back to you in a timely manner. Please note, we try daily to post our whereabouts on Twitter to alleviate a closed door at City Hall. Please check and follow @melroseVSO for timely information and updates.

Veteran Donation Account
We would like to make you aware of our city-wide veteran relief program. This fund, designed to assist all Melrose Veterans in need, accepts donations to be used for the sole purpose of providing veterans with quick access to emergency funds. Recent expenditures include purchasing a bed for a disabled veteran, assisting a veteran couple in obtaining driving licenses for help with employment and rent payments for veterans who were overdue. If you would like to donate to this worth cause, please call our office anytime for additional details. We provide proof of fund usage upon request and verify every expenditure to ensure appropriate use of donations. 100 percent of all proceeds go directly to Melrose veterans.
