| PROGRAM UPDATE: May 5 - Orienteering & Geocaching Adventure at Mt. Hood Ages: All Ages Date: Sun, May 5 Cost: Free! Time: 9:00am - 11:00am (NEW TIME) Location: Mt. Hood Club House In some parts of the world, spring is ready to kick off, and folks are looking for something fun and free to do with their family and friends. If you need an exciting new hobby that allows you to combine your love of technology with nature and exploration, geocaching is for you. This hobby is great for people of all ages and abilities (including little kids). We will navigate through the woods of Mount Hood to seek out the most unusual cache containers using up to date technology with Global Positioning Systems and go back to basics, using a compass. Orienteering is a form of navigation using a map and compass. It’s easy to learn and a fun way to exercise your body and mind as you enjoy the outdoors. It's a sport for everyone and beginners are welcome. When we start our journey, you will be able to swap out trinkets you are given at the start of the event and replace them with trinkets you find out in the wilderness.
