HOMEOWNER/CONTRACTOR ADVISORY: LEAD SAFETY DURING RENOVATIONS

EPA’s Renovation, Repair, and Painting Final Rule 40 CFR 745:
Deadline April 22, 2010

Firms MUST be certified by the EPA and have one or more Certified Renovators when disturbing lead-paint in pre-1978 homes or child-occupied facilities. Renovation Workers must also be trained. Certified Renovators are responsible for either documenting the training of their workers or may opt to have their workers also trained as Certified Renovators.
