MISSION STATEMENT ELECTION DEPARTMENT
The mission of the Election Office is to make the process of elections more understandable and accessible to the residents of the City of Melrose.  Our goal is to make all information available to the public in regard to voting, elections and the process of seeking office.

The Election office is responsible for:

• Annual City Census

• Publication of the annual city resident listing book

• Voter registration

• Absentee voting

• Conduct Federal, State and Local Elections

• Tabulate results of all elections

• Nomination papers of candidates for public office

• Election workers

• Polling sites

Criteria for seeking public office in the City of Melrose is:

• You must be:

• 18 years of age

• An American citizen

• A registered voter

• A resident of Melrose

• A mail-in voter registration form

• An application for absentee application

VOTER REGISTRATION
In the Election Office during City Hall Hours:
Monday thru Thursday between 8:30 AM and 4:00 PM
Friday 8:30 AM thru 12:30 PM
Closed Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays.

ALL LOCATIONS ARE HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE
