Veterans Burials

Only Veterans may be buried in the Veterans section of the Cemetery. The Veteran’s section falls under all the rules and regulations of the Wyoming Cemetery. A veteran who was a resident of Melrose at the time of enlistment or was a resident for at least a year prior to the time of death, may be buried in the Veteran’s Lot, at the discretion of the Cemetery Committee. Said Veteran must have been in the service at least 90 days during a time of armed conflict, and must have received an honorable or general discharge. No removals will be made from the Veteran’s Section unless the Veteran was placed in a sealed vault when interred.
